If we give a serious glance at the construction projects which are taking place in a few of the major cities, we will realise construction industry has broaden their vision and is improving their game. The buildings are becoming more innovative and with the purpose of locating natural resources we are going deep into the earth. The construction projects are deeply under the influence of digital processes and technologies.

Most of the people feel that it is technology which plays a vital role to support the construction industry and enabling better designs, construction and procurement. But the fact is if one wishes to understand that how the surface can yield maximum benefits of data and analysis, design software, 3D scanning and automation then, they need to scratch the ground.

Though the industries are trying to improve in regards to health, governance and safety but the fundamentals in terms of traditional engineering, project management and construction remains the same. Even after knowing about the benefits of digital technology, a number of construction companies are still ignorant.

There was a survey conducted in order to understand the current issues in regards to alignment of BIM. But most of the companies did not consider the survey and there was no response held by them. The survey which was conducted online with the help of digital technology, also failed a response.

But with the few professional responses a glimpse could be taken over the industry. It came forward that most of the designers chose Autocad, Revit, ArchiCad, Trimble, Tekla and Bentley. But a few of the large firms used these technologies in combination with one of the following: Navisworks, Lumion, BIM360, Civil 3D, Vector Works, Sketchup, Primavera, Candy and winQS.

Also the survey revealed that 55% of the respondents were using cloud based management system, whereas the small firms even now used cloud based storage tools like Google Drive and Dropbox.

SAAS that is software as a service tools are meant to support BIM processes, project focused teams and are mostly used by large contractors and clients. But there was a complaint raised as well, which states that the cloud based management system are interrupted due to poor internet connection.

As to conclude most of the respondent agreed that
